SafeSpend is built to help households plan cash flow without collecting more data than needed. This is the basic privacy summary for the MVP and will be expanded as the product matures.

What we use

  • Google account identity for sign-in
  • Household profile and member roles
  • Manually entered bills, income, balances, and notes
  • Bank connection metadata and synced transaction data when enabled

What we do not store

  • Bank usernames or passwords
  • Full account numbers
  • Unnecessary personal data unrelated to household planning
  • Information that is not needed for the app to function

How data is used

  • To show household cash-flow projections and safe-to-spend amounts
  • To match bills and income to transactions when sync is enabled
  • To support alerts, reminders, and household visibility
  • To keep each household separated from the others

Your controls

  • Disconnect bank accounts
  • Delete household data
  • Update manual balances and entries
  • Review and manage shared household data
